Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center

The Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Catalyst Campus offers free consulting, practical training and other valuable resources for small businesses, maximizing the economic potential of entrepreneurs within the Pikes Peak region. Their mission is to help existing and new businesses grow and prosper and their goal is to help emerging and existing entrepreneurs gain control of their business operations.

Free guidance and consulting is provided for all aspects of business development. SBDC’s help in writing comprehensive business plans, conducting financial forecasts, strategizing marketing tactics, applying for funding and improving operations helps companies to mitigate risk and maximize success.

Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center

Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTRAC) provides procurement technical assistance to help companies sell their products or services to the appropriate government agency by offering confidential counseling at no cost. Colorado PTAC’s goal, which is achieved via counseling and education, is to generate employment and improve the economic condition of the state by offering expert government contracting advice to Colorado companies, including those eligible for preferential consideration for government contracts. Colorado PTAC is staffed with counselors experienced in government contracting, with backgrounds in government acquisitions and ongoing training to keep pace with continually evolving acquisition procedures and policies.

Service Core of Retired Executives

The Service Core of Retired Executive’s (SCORE) sole purpose is to serve entrepreneurs and small businesses. SCORE is part of the Small Business Association, consisting of 300+ chapters with over 11,000 business experts nationwide. Their mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. The SCORE Colorado Springs Chapter has 40 members who provide free and confidential business mentoring with local workshops. Located on the Catalyst Campus within easy reach of downtown, SCORE also maintains branch locations in Leadville and Monument.
